This apple tree bears fruit of nearly 150 types of apples! Apple breeder Steven Edholm, who is based in Ukiah, California, has created an apple tree that fruits mid-July through to early February. It all began years ago when he moved to the area and found an apple tree in his garden that produced sour green apples. He grafted 20 varieties onto the existing tree and it was so successful that he has added many new varieties since. Grafting multiple varieties extends your fruiting season, offers fruit diversity and bee pollination is easier since bees can just buzz from one type of blossom to another, rather than traveling among trees and orchards.
