Nettles are often ingested in tea form, which has been observed to have potent effects on the body. This is probably because of the numerous flavonoids and minerals in the leaves. Some of the benefits of nettle tea include improving skin health, assisting in digestion, and boosting the immune system. I made nettle tea with just nettle leaves and water and it was perfect. You can add a little honey, to sweeten it.
Ingredients:
1 cup of nettle leaves, rinsed and sliced
2 cups of water
1-teaspoon raw honey (optional)
Directions:
1- Add the leaves to a strainer in a glass teapot, or teapot or stainless steel pot.
2- Pour 2 cups of boiled water on the nettles and let it steep for a few minutes.
3-Add honey of needed.
