Gaga’s Gloves

Gaga’s Gloves
December 3, 2017 Christina Mullin

There was a time, up to the 1960’s, when women wore gloves every time they left the house. My grandmother (Gaga) Pauline Stanbury Woolworth was always elegantly dressed, ultra-feminine and formal, with the matching bag and gloves to perfectly finish off here outfit.

Did you know…that daytime gloves are making a comeback and I don’t mean the kind that I wear in the garden. When I was in Los Angeles, I noticed gloves being worn by women driving, so as to protect their hands from the sun. The skin on our hands is quite thin, and they are getting a full blast of sun every time you go out.

Wear gloves to protect your hands from harmful UV rays while driving and also during other outdoor activities like fishing, hiking, and biking.
