Did you know…that by choosing line-caught fish when shopping for seafood, you are choosing a sustainable alternative that protects endangered fish. Today, ocean health and many of its fish stocks are at risk. This is a global issue, but local eco-friendly actions made by individuals like you can make a difference.
Line-caught fish are caught one at a time, and very selectively by individual fishermen, making this a great way to support small-business fisheries as well. No nets or netting are used so that they are by-catch free and protect corals, turtles, and dolphins. A great resource for what are sustainable seafood choices is Seafood Watch, created by The Monterey Bay Aquarium.
