Berry Jam

Berry Jam

This is the easiest jam recipe to make! All you need are fresh blackberries or raspberries and sugar.

1-Clean the berries by soaking them in cool water (add the water first and then add the berries) in a colander that fits inside a bowl. Gently remove the colander and then spread the berries on a clean dishtowel to dry.

2-Once the berries have dried a little, put them on a chopping board and chop them up, and then add them to a measuring cup.

3-If the chopped berries measure half a cup; you will need half a cup of sugar. I used organic maple sugar, which requires even less of it for this recipe.

4-Add chopped berries, the sugar and a tablespoon of water to a small stainless steel pot and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium and cook till the jam thickens, about 15 to 20 minutes.

5-Remove from heat and when it cools, pour the jam into a glass jar with a lid and store in the fridge. It should be good for up to a week.
