  Agave Body Scrubber

made from natural agave

3.7"x3.7"x1.2"

100% biodegradable

When I first found out about this cute Agave Scrubber, it was for scrubbing dishes.Yes indeed. Then, the other day, I was using an awkward loofah, which felt more like a branch, which I attempted to rub my whole body with, because I was starting my new health regime of doing a dry body scrub every morning or evening. I thought there must be something easier to use, that's small and doesn't hurt and that I can pop into my wash kit when I travel. I realized that I already had it, an unused extra sample in my office, the Dish Dumpling. It now has a double identity, as the AGAVE BODY SCRUBBER. It feels really nice on your skin and does just the right amount of sloughing, leaving your skin feeling refreshed and renewed. It really feels great!

Here is some information explaining what Dry Brushing is:

The dry brushing technique deals with detoxification of the skin.

Dry brushing stimulates your skin, kidneys, liver, lungs and lymphatic system. By removing dead skin layers, it tightens the skin, therefore preventing premature aging. It tones the muscles, stimulates circulation and helps digestion. Helps reduce cellulite as well.

Dry brushing should be done EVERY day, first thing in the morning is best, if you can. It takes about 10-15 minutes and should be done before you take a shower, because once you have scrubbed your body down with the loofah, you will want to wash off the impurities from your skin.

Brush either from the tips of your toes, scrubbing your feet all over and up your legs, towards your heart or from the tips of your fingers, sweeping up your arms and towards your heart, which helps drain the lymph back to your heart.

Avoid your face, any delicate or sensitive areas, wounds, rashes, cuts, infections and especially if you have the dreaded poison ivy or poison oak.

After you are done, take your shower, dry off, and then massage your skin with Pure plant oils such as olive oil, avocado, apricot, almond, sesame, or coconut.

I researched and read about dry brushing quite a bit and found the instructions and information on this one particular site were very good, so if you would like to learn more, go to Natural Health Techniques.
